by Alex Benady

Coley Porter Bell has beefed up its creative and strategic offer with a raft of internal promotions.

Creative director Richard Clayton, who works on Pernod Ricard, The Co-operative and the corporate practice has been promoted to the board. Richard’s promotion is in recognition of his role in supervising creative output and building Coley Porter Bell’s corporate offer.

Senior planner Ed Silk who works on John West and Tui among many other accounts, has  been made planning partner.

Ed’s promotion acknowledges that his contribution goes beyond his planning remit. He will be responsible for spotting business opportunities both for clients and CPB, deepening client relationships, managing planning trainees and fellows, a role he has been carrying out for the last six months anyway,

Senior designer Craig Barnes who led work for Morrisons and the Co-operative has been promoted to design director.

Vicky Bullen, chief executive of Coley Porter Bell said: “Its always so much better if you can grow your own. We are proud of the way we cultivate our own talent and help our people to develop. These promotions aren’t simply new titles, they reflect new levels of expectation and will boost the performance of our business.”
