Lighten Up

I came across this packaging for Sunlight Laundry Soap in a shop in Sri Lanka recently. I love it! It stood out a mile in the dimly lit environment and its promise is very clear - bright, sunshiney cleaning with a scent that lifts the spirits. Optimistic, bold, bright, confident and probably to my western eyes a touch nostalgic, it is a piece of delightful packaging from Unilever.

The art of the Easter egg

Easter eggs have come a long way since I was kid! Here is a small selection for a bit of adult indulgence. Rob Ryan packages Fortnum & Mason’s range, Prestat has beautifully wrapped boxes like a jewel, Rococo uses delicate hand-painted Japanese birds and Booja Booja intricate patterns hand-painted by artists in Kashmir. Even Armani has developed a range of minimalist eggs with a simple, understated Armani ‘A’. My personal favourite is a twist on a classic a plain and simple egg sandwich by Hotel Chocolat.
